The Launching Pad: Leadership and Life Skills for the Journey Ahead (Offered Tuesday and Thursday - 1 Semester Course)
Step into your future with the confidence and character of a leader prepared to make a lasting impact. The Launching Pad is a course designed to bridge the gap between high school and the “real world" by equipping you with road-tested wisdom for life's most critical decisions.
Grounded in the truth that God has a plan and your life has a purpose, we will explore the qualities of honorable leadership—from mastering self, managing personal finances and career selection to building enduring relationships and navigating adversity. Through interactive role-playing and strategic self-assessments, you won’t just learn these principles—you’ll begin to live them out as a faithful leader of your time, talent, and treasure. Prepare to launch with excellence and lead a life that honors God and serves others.
Students will have the opportunity to complete the Self-Directed Search assessment. The SDS identifies factors that predict what type of job you’ll enjoy so you can choose a major, a program of study in a vocational school, or search for a job straight out of high school. No matter your route, the SDS will help.
