CEDAR 4/5

CEDAR4/5 is an all-inclusive experience for 4th and 5th-grade students using materials to prepare students for middle school and high school CEDAR classes. Students will enjoy and be challenged by a day in the classroom with courses to include English (Literature, Grammar, Writing, and Vocabulary), Math, Science, and History. The students will be given work to complete at home during the following week to enhance and reinforce the lessons taught in class.

Classroom experience: In the classroom, each week, lessons will be creatively taught to cover grammar, writing, literature, math, history, and science. We will play games, complete hands-on learning projects, share stories, and participate in science labs and history activities.

Home experience: Each week, an assignment sheet will be loaded on Praxi. Parents are responsible for grading the material, as no grades are assigned in our Elementary programs.

Supplies that the students will need:

- One clear plastic shoebox (shoebox-sized) with a snapping lid. Please put your student’s name on the box. This will hold your student’s supplies, and it will be left in the classroom. (Items for the Shoebox:  Scissors, crayons, colored pencils, a ruler, a protractor, markers, liquid glue, stick glue, a box of sharpened #2 pencils, EXPO dry-erase markers, a small dry-erase board (doesn't need to fit in the box), and 1 highlighter.)

- A 1 1/2 “ three-ring binder with tabs for student work in class and homework to be returned to class.

-Two: 1 Subject Wide-Ruled Spiral Notebooks

- One Notebook with graphing grids (4 squares per inch) printed on both sides, 3-hole punched.  Can be sound at Target or on Amazon.
